BDSS improves driver excursion, allowing the CS9040’s mid/bass drivers to play lower and blend with its built-in subwoofer and bass radiator.
Because this technology is utilized across the entire BP9000 Series, when integrated with other BP9000 models, the CS9040 contributes to a more uniform midrange soundstage throughout your listening environment. That means anchored, centrally focused dialog; full range reproduction of scores and sound effects; and a seamless flow of panned audio from loudspeaker to loudspeaker.

The CS9040 achieves this through the integration of an 8” bass radiator, which works in harmony with the CS9040’s BDSS woofers to effectively double their bass producing surface area. In addition, the presence of a bass radiator in the center of your soundfield supports more even bass distribution throughout the room.
