Printer with dynamic security

Some HP printers are designed to work only with cartridges that have a new or reused HP chip or electronic circuit. These printers are equipped with a dynamic security device to block cartridges that use a non-HP chip or electronic circuit. Periodic firmware updates help ensure the effectiveness of these measures and block cartridges that previously worked. Reused HP chips and electronic circuits allow the use of reused refurbished or recycled cartridges.

• Open Internet Explorer click Tools or the Settings icon then click Internet Options.
• Select the Advanced tab then scroll down to the Security section.
• Ensure that the Use TLS 1.1 and Use TLS 1.2 boxes are checked then remove the selection from the Use SSL 3.0 box.
• Click Apply then OK.
• Return to the HP Easy Start window then click Go back to the last page to finish installing the software. If the problem persists download the printer software again and restart the installation process.
